Crossover Cable Setup
This
method of connecting PC's together is normally used in homes and small
offices when connecting two PC's without a Hub or Switch. This method
has a capacity of 2 PC's and is therefore very restrictive. Although
similar in appearance to the cable used to connect PC's to the hub
this cable has its send and receive wires crossed. On the Ethernet
Hub/Switch Setup the cross over is automatically done for you
via the Hub/Switch and therefore uses a parrallel cable.
